R.D. Ecksmith, On Track Modeling, (OTM) alpha model Group,(AMG) comments
on EZBC.com, ezbc Background check, easybackgroundcheck.com modelingscams.com, or his
other 11 sites and names.
Have you noticed, when you pull up
Alpha
Model Group or
On
Track Modeling,
EZBC.com,
Easy Background Check
comes up on
Google
and some other search engines?
EZBC.com
or
EZBC
Background check
also comes up with Proscout,
Barbizon,
John Robert
Powers and 90% of the agencies, scouting companies,
and modeling schools in the country. This site would lead you
to believe that these companies are all scammers. His only intent
is to get you totally worked up and think you have been scammed.
If he really had your best interest in mind, he would tell you to contact the customer service person for that company. Maybe you just don't understand something, or you need something taken care of, customer service can take care of that for you. If it can't be handled through customer service, which is rare, the
BBB can help.
That's why he never refers you to customer service or the
BBB, No,No,No! His sole purpose is to get you all emotional and make you believe you are one of thousands of people getting ripped off!
A list of his other hosting sites are at the bottom of this
article.
Why does he hide? Why does he stay so anonymous?
The companies and people he writes about don't hide their name.
I don't hide my name, or my companies names. Is it because
half the industry will sue him for all the lies and slander on
his site?
They could be a crazy hacker and the scary
thing is once you contact his website he could have access to
any information he wants on you through your computer!!! Bank
accounts, tax info, etc.
If you want information on a company, check with the
BBB.
The
BBB will
give you true, reliable information. All companies have complaints,
it's how they handle them that counts. Also the size of the company
compared to the amount of complaints. On Track Modeling for example,
has 40 some complaints the last three years. If
On
Track Modeling were a small local agency, that would
be a lot. 40 some complaints in three years, from over 100 markets
in the USA however, with over 20,000 assignments booked, and having
received international awards, is definitely not bad for this
industry!
As stated earlier, if you have a problem or concern, first contact the customer service department of a company. This saves you lots of time. If you go to the BBB without first contacting the company, you have to contact the BBB, the BBB has to contact the company, the company has to respond to the BBB, the BBB sends the response to you, and finally you start working things out. This takes days, sometimes weeks. Almost any problem can be worked out within a day or two by dealing directly with customer service, it saves everyone lots of time.
EZBC.com or
EZBC background
check's big beef with
Alpha
Model Group (
AMG)
and (
OTM)
On Track Modeling
is that we sell photography. He even says it's illegal! Saying
an agency can't sell photography is like saying a hair salon can't
sell hair products, or a car dealership can't have a service department,
or a restaurant can't have a carry out. Where do you get better quality hair products, K-Mart or a hair salon? Legitimate agencies use the better photographers, it makes it easier to market you.
Any purchases of photography are, and have always been, the
option of the model! They can go anywhere and get a test shoot.
Of course we believe we provide the best shoot for the money.
We have hundreds of models that purchased their test shoots elsewhere,
as a matter of fact, in 2002, over 40% of the jobs booked were
with models that purchased no photography through
On
Track Modeling.
EZBC.com also says we shouldn't make a profit on the shoot. I'm sorry, we have to make a profit
on anything the company does. COMPANIES ALL ARE IN BUSINESS TO MAKE PROFIT!
There are what's called "photo mills" in the industry. This type of operation is illegal
in some states. They are companies that sell photography on the pretence that they will
get modeling assignments when in fact the company has little or no jobs whatsoever.
This is simply not the case with On Track Modeling.
On Track Modeling
is the leader in the promotional end of the business. We received
the Golden Web Award in 2003 from the International Webmasters
Association as the best site in the entire modeling industry!
In 2003
On Track
Modeling (OTM)
booked over 8,000 assignments, over 20,000 in the last three years!
No other agency has booked that many assignments without sub-contracting
models. By the way, all this information can be verified through
company payroll and tax records.
My advice is:
1. Deal with national agencies or locals who have been
in business for a while.
2. Don't get involved in the negative hype
of the industry. There are lots of good things happening too! It's
just the good things never go on TV or get into the newspapers.
3. Remember, You are not in NY city! (well probably not) local agencies
work entirely different than agencies in the major markets. The
types of jobs, pay, expectations, representation contracts, everything
is different.
4. The modeling industry is just like the Music industry. There
are musicians who make millions of dollars. But for every one
that makes millions, there are thousands across the country, playing
music in clubs and other venues. They're having fun, making money,
doing something they love, playing music. Modeling is the same,
for every model making millions, there are thousands in local
markets, working hair shows, promotional jobs, commercial print,
local castings, having fun, and making
money part time as a model.
5. Remember "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
EZBC.com,
EZBC Background
check says promotional modeling isn't real modeling, last
year over seventy percent of jobs done in local markets were promotional assignments.
This shows his knowledge of the modeling industry. This is a quote from
a e-mail I sent to EZBC.com.
In closing here just some of the agencies EZBC.com,
EZBC Background
Check writes about. Just because there's a file
on a company doesn't mean their scamming people. It means he has
a file on them, it may be true, it may be someone's lies. Check
this out! Here are what the site classifies as the most inquiries:
John Robert
Powers, John
Casablanca, Barbizon,
Alpha Model Group,
On Track Modeling,
Proscout, These are the top National recruiting companies in the
country! They have all been in business ten years or longer. Would
being the largest and oldest companies be the reason for more
inquiries?
It
takes a real expert to figure that one out! check these companies
also listed out!
Naomi Campbell, Karin NY, Next NY ,Ford models, Elite,
Wilhemina NY,
I would say he has files on 90% of the industry! Here
are other sites that have kicked EZBC
and modeling scams off the internet!
