It pays off professionally and personally in more ways than one to keep records and continue to update past contacts.
5.Be ready.
Makeup should be daytime and simple. Hair should be healthy and flattering for your face. Clothes should show off your good points and camouflage your bad ones. Clear healthy skin and great teeth are a must. You must be in shape. Always know your current measurements and correct clothing size!
Always have your model’s tote bag ready and portfolio and comp cards handy.
6.Get some experience.
Experience paid or not will make you more confident. If you are starting out do as many different kinds of jobs as you can get. All publicity is good publicity. Experience and exposure will pay off in the long run.
7.Do your best.
Modeling is a tough, competitive industry. In order to be successful you must go the extra mile for the client. Smile, show enthusiasm, be open, listen to direction. Clients will always call back for a model that is great to work with and always looks good.
8.Listen to your agent.
Your agent knows how to best market you to their client base. Listen to their advice on how to present yourself and trust their judgment in developing your look. Do a good job for them and they will do a good job for you.
